Re: Can you C me now?

TJ: Welcome to the world of C. Are you tjontheroad from Sax on the Web? Alan is very knowledgeable and has been a great resource for my saxophone journey. I use my C tenor to play blues and rock. Most of the people I jam with are amateur musicians and the guitar players like the keys of E, A...

Re: Travels with the C

I have been unable to do much for the last two months. I am recovering from abdominal reconstructive surgery. I hope to be repaired enough to go on with a normal life soon. Normal for me, anyway. I am far from normal. I converted the short audio clip to MP3 format thanks to the linked software f...

Re: Travels with the C

As promised, I will try to upload a recording. Sorry about the terrible quality; busy street, PDA recording, etc.

As I listen carefully to this sound clip, I can actually hear the woman singing a melody. Perhaps I am wrong and my ear is just struggling with a different type of music.

Re: Travels with the C

As I walk to the metro after work each day. I pass two elderly musicians playing traditional Thai music. The man plays an electronic keyboard through a small guitar amplifier powered by an automobile battery. The woman sings along with a microphone also amplified through the same system. For mont...

Re: Is this a C Soprano?

I just returned from Vietnam. I did not have internet access for the last three days before the auction ended. I missed putting in a bid during the last stages of the auction. It looks like the saxophone went for a reasonable price. I hope whoever bought it knew it was a C soprano. Should I send...

Re: Travels with the C

I asked some local musicians about Soi Dog the house band at Tokyo Joes. They seem to have disappeared. I found a statement from Tokyo Joes management on the net saying they will return when times are better. Tokyo Joes clientele was largely expats and there are fewer in Thailand this year. Most ...

Re: Is this a C Soprano?

Perhaps I should ask the seller to identify the saxophone as a C soprano on the listing. A buyer may be upset with the saxophone, not knowing it is a C soprano. Also, prices for Bb soprano saxophones may be higher than for C sopranos.
