1930s C-melody saxophones

This is probably a very silly question, but is it okay to post about C-mels made in the '30s here, or do we need another place for those (and the Vito C-mels from the 1960s)?

This is a problem on many vintage saxes, not just C-melodys. (I just moved the sling ring on a 1940s French alto.) It's a pretty simple thing for your tech to add a new ring. Holton seemed to figure this out. I don't know if all Holton C-mels are like this, but mine has the ring in the correct pla...
