C-Soprano Sax Sounds
For a start, comparison picture and sounds (Eb 'nino, C and Bb soprano's) from Jay Easton
Jay plays a Holton C-Soprano, keyed to high F, with a Buescher C Sop mouthpiece, Rovner lig, and Vandoren 3 blue box reeds.

And from " Little Sax ", based in Chicago IL, on the Conn C-Soprano shown just below, beautifully restored by cybersax -
Amazing Grace Wedding Dance Pink Panther - plus for comparison, Pink Panther on his 'nino
- using a Buescher C-soprano mouthpiece ( finished from a blank by Dave Tondi ) with a Legere 3 reed, on C-Soprano. Playing a metal Yani mouthpiece with Vandoren Blue Box reeds on 'nino. Beautiful sound and great intonation, thanks !

- and finally, whilst I'm looking for more sounds, here are some of my own, recorded on my 20's Conn Pan-American C Soprano.
Click Here for a little bit of Earle Hagen's 'Harlem Nocturne' - a.k.a. the 'Mike Hammer Theme', using a vintage Otto Link ebonite Bb soprano-sax mouthpiece and #2 Rico Royal. Recorded relatively low, with a battered 15 year-old AKG C409 clip-on sax mic, direct into the 'mic' socket on the PC sound card. With just a touch of post-reverb, for that authentic sound. I'd quite forgotten how loud soprano sax bell notes come out !
A Doodle from the Conn - trying out a cheap Sony ECM-909 mic direct into the PC. The little bit of sound distortion seems to suggest I may just need a foam shield. Has a much harder tone than 'Nocturne', using a vintage MojoBari tweaked Bb Soprano Meyer mpc, with 2.5 Rico Plasticover reed.
Testing out the (very cheap) Acoustica Mixcraft software, another doodle with the Conn C-Sop and Meyer (Bb) mouthpiece, using a plain old Rico V2 cane reed. With a touch of added compression, reverb and chorus..... Look out for more complex sounds when I start using backing tracks and/or multi-tracking ! You may just hear the first C-Sax quartet (2 x C-Sop, and 2 x C-Tenor) here !!
