room at 1 Navy Cottages, with at least one other fam. After
death of Emma VINE, lived with dau Maud BATLER, at Battery ST
(ES). Later married Sarah (unknown), known to Mum as 'Aunt
Sarah'. Sarah (unknown) also died, and FWJ went to live, again
with Maud, at 53 South Milton St, Cattedown. Children: i) Maud
BATLER distributed FWJ's effects after his death. Maud marr
SAM BATLER,they had 3 daughters, but only Doris survived.
Doris married Bill STEDDIFORD, ex Dockyard, lived Warliegh Ave.
Keyham, and worked in Spooners & Debenhams. Doris'
son Colin (Steddiford) lived at Yealmpton. FWJ's other
daughters: ii) Elsie, died young. iii) Winifred, married
George HUXHAM. Husband George (snr) died during an air raid
in Devonport, evacuating people. Dau. Violet & 2 sons,
Herbert -died in WWII (Japan?)-, and George (jnr).
