This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

Play the C-Melody sound selection above - use the left/right arrows to switch tracks (or) select from the scrollable list.
If you just start on the first track, and do nothing,  the player will cycle thro' them all in sequence.
The 'commercial/copyright'  tracks are time-limited samples - the rest are full length.  Many thanks to all the players !

Hello - this started off as a very basic attempt to share the sounds of some of the C-Melody saxophones and other instruments that I have.  I'm sure the recording quality will get better over time, whilst still keeping the files to well under 1 MB  for ease of access with slower dial-up lines.  Hopefully this may also go some way to dispel the myths that the C-Melody ( C Tenor ) saxophone is a sad old stuffy out-of-tune horn - which it isn't  !  I've put a couple of alto sax samples at the start, just for comparison...

So, these are a selection of sounds from me, on the various instruments that I play reasonably well - although opinions do vary on that last statement......  Far from complete, and just recorded into a microphone connected to the PC, so really just "tasters" - hopefully over time I'll replace some of them with slightly more professional offerings ?  But just as an indication of how various (mostly tenor sax) mouthpieces sound, it's useful.

Where the link is followed by a small speaker icon like this -  Sad Samba      - you can either click on the actual link to hear the sound in (e.g.) Media player, or you can click on the  small speaker  to use the websites built in  '1Bit' streaming Flash player.  Click again to stop.
